Laughing Soup
Dish's tongue-in-cheek garage/psyche is so raw, wild and authentic-
you'll never believe they aren't a "real" '60s band worthy of inclusion
on Pebbles Volume 1! members: Wayne Larsen Dave DeSantes Kile Zimmermen Curtis Leyhe Jon Davies Laughing
Soup Dish was a psychedelic band from Long Branch,New Jersey. They
achieved some notoriety in Greece. Some claim their name was a play on
"LSD" (Laughing Soup Dish). They had several albums, most notably
"Underthrow the Overground." . The band released two LPs, two 45s, and
have been featured on numerous compilation albums. Their single Teenage
Lima Bean only recently went out of print, as a vinyl 45 was still

Who Are the Chesterfield Kings?
During
the late 70's and early 80's while most bands were trying to ride the
New Wave, Rochester New York's Chesterfield Kings set their own course
into the past... destination 1966. Since their first single ("I Ain't
No Miracle Worker" b/w "Exit 9" Living Eye Records, LSD-1), released in
1979 on their own Living Eye label, the Chesterfield Kings main
objective has always been to record their own collectible garage 45's.
With a repertoire recognized by only a handful of 60's
garage-rock-fanatics, and by keeping the early pressings small (only
500 of the first single, a mere 50 of the third), the Kings not only
have achieved their goal, but in the process became the pioneers of the
then fl...

The Paupers were originally formed as the Spats in 1965 by lead guitarist Chuck Beale, bassist Denny Gerrard, guitarist Bill Misener and vocalist Skip Prokop. In 1966, Adam Mitchell replaced Misener and in 1968 bassist Brad Cambell joined the band after Gerrard departed. After two albums recorded in the late '60s, Magic People and Ellis Island, the Paupers broke up in 1969. Adam Mitchell went on to release a solo record in 1979, Redhead in Trouble, for Warner Bros.. This Dig Deep CD features very unique melodies and harmonies and songwriting. The Paupers utilized synchronized drumming patterns where 3 out of the 4 members of the band played percussion behind melodic, psychedelic guitar lines.

Joel Vandroogenbroeck (ex Brainticket) - 1978 - Images of Flute in Nature
Tracks : 1 Great Valley 2 Magic Adventure 3 Plaine Du Jura 4 Forest Spirit 5 Hobbits 6 Minor 7 Magnetic Blues 8 Electronic Jungle
This
LP issued in Italy only on Cenacolo M721, is a different music from
usual Brainticket. Idilliac landscapes with lots of keys, synths and
the voice of Carole Muriel.
Swiss Joel Vandroogenbroeck has been
especially confessed thanks to its link Brainticket. Beginning years
seventy delivered this group three particularly vaporous albums, with
as spectacular figure the intriguing ' Celestial ocean ' from 1974 - I
wrote already earlier. After falling apart Brainticket Vandroogenbroeck

 UK
R&B /Blues/Garage blaster with Jon Lord(Deep Purple)
Keef Hartley(John
Mayall) Mac Poole(Bakerloo) with all the right sounds!!
It's really a legendary LP that was an
enjoyable mixture of club-oriented soul, R&B, and jazz with a
strong organ spice, although it found them falling seriously
behindtheir contemporaries in the British R&B scene
in a crucial respect.
