Freak Emporium in the UK had this to say:
” Amongst the most ambitious and best Greek progressive albums, this 1973 release is a tremendous concoction of dynamic and effortlessly shifting complex rhythm changes, multi-instrumental layers and musical textures. With individual segments ranging from Garcia-like guitar, pomp chuch organ, jazz, baroque, piano recital, thundering drums, soaring melodic vocals... And probably a kitchen sink, it is somewhat comparable with the finest ELP, Gentle Giant and Zappa, but at the same time totally unique! A mega prog killer!!”

The Peep Show - Maze 1967-1968
bitrate: 256 size: 79 mb
Personnel incl: PATRICK BURSTON
45s: 1 Mazy/Your Servant, Steven (Polydor BM 56196) 1967 2 Esprit De Corps/Mino In A Mix-Up (Polydor BM 52226) 1968
This obscure London-based four-piece group is best remembered for Mazy, a dreamy, rather haunting slice of flower power. Apparently, their 45s were jointly produced by Peter Meadon, who'd helped mould The Who in their early days as The High Numbers, and Norman Jopling, who worked at 'Record Mirror'. Your Servent, Steven was also recorded by The Blues&nbs... Read more »

LES BAROQUES - Same (1966, Whamm records ) Super rare 1966 Dutch R'n'B garage vinyl-album that sounds like classic '60's US garage punk with really great fuzz guitar and keyboard work. Driving powerful songs with a very cool attitude. Also, there a some particularly groovy instrumentals. In addition there are some r'n'b tunes with the moody psychedelic flavour. ... Read more »

Tir Na Nog - 1971 - Tir Na Nog
Tir Na Nog, whose name translates from the Gaelic as "Land of Eternal Youth," hit a Zeitgeist with their first album. The pairing of Sonny Condell and Leo O'Kelly caught the same softness as, say, Nick Drake, but more open and engaging, with just enough lilting Celtic influence to offer plenty of charm (although, it must be said, very little of the Irish tradition is evident in their music). The acoustic duo could be sweetly romantic, as on "Time Is Like a Promise" and "Our Love Will Not Decay," but they could also offer a crowd-pleaser like the singalong "Aberdeen Angus." "Picadilly" is especially poignant, a touching tale. Condell b... Read more »

![]() THE BOOK OF AM (1978)This is without any doubt one of this year’s most stunning and spectacular releases!!!Book Of Am were a communal hippie-folk outfit consisting of musicians from various countries (England, France & Spain) who lived on the Balearic Islands.Their initial plan was to release four LP’s in combination with a beautifully illustrated book, full of mind expanding art, focussing on world folklore and various traditions. In the end however (we’re talking mid 70’s here) the costs of realisation were too high, and –though the music for all 4 records already was put to tape- the eventual release got stripped down ...
