The Last Days of Fillmore (3LPs, 1976)
16:28
This is dedicated to all our friends and especially to those responded to our message and create these blogs to be the Lost-In-Tyme 100 mirrors (many of them did make an account and blog for the first time). We thank each and everyone of you - be sure that your help will be much appreciated by the music lovers worldwide, when someday their search for rare and wonderful music will lead them to one of the 100 Mirrors.

A few words about this record set: this is fairly rare, from what I've found out in my search, and never reissued (I've found a mention of a CD re-release in the early 90s, but nothing more - I don't know if it actually existed or if it was a bootleg). I'm sure that the Fillmore Auditorium, as it was officialy titled is known to everyone who's listening the music posted on LiT. All the rock/psychedelic/blues legends of the 60s honored its two stages (East and West).
Before Fillmore closed its doors, in 1972, Bill Graham gathered a lot of the greatest names of the era for one last week. These shows were filmed and released as a movie at 1972 (note that even the movie never officialy released on DVD - if you find it it's surely bootlegged) and later as a 3-LP box set, with a 7' single, a book and a poster. I managed to find the German version (released as a 3LP set without the inserts) from 1976. Enjoy some great performances from some of the best musicians ever. All you need more is the tracklist:

Disc 1
Johnny Walker - Introduction
Lamb - Hello Friends
Elvin Bishop Group - So Fine
Elvin Bishop Group - Party Till The Cows Come Home
Malo - Pana
The Sons of Champlin - Poppa Can Play
It's A Beautiful Day - White Bird
Quicksilver Messenger Service - Fresh Air
Quicksilver Messenger Service - Mojo

Disc 2
Introduction - Bill Graham
Tower of Power- Back On The Streets Again
Boz Scaggs - Baby's Callin' Me Home
Cold Blood - I Just Want To Make Love To You
Stoneground - Passion Flower
New Riders Of The Purple Sage - Henry
Grateful Dead - Casey Jones
Grateful Dead - Johnny B. Goode

Disc 3
Intoduction - Bill Graham
Hot Tuna - Keep Your Lamps Trimmed And Burning
Santana - Incident At Neshabur
Santana - In A Silent Way
Taj Mahal-Boz Scaggs-Elvin Bishop And Friends - We Gonna Rock
Taj Mahal-Boz Scaggs-Elvin Bishop And Friends - Long And Tall
Bill Graham - Goodbye - Greensleeves

*Note - Bill Graham's short introductions to Tower of Power and Hot Tune are ripped as one track with the songs.

Pleased to see your up and running again - best site on the net for obscure music.
Don't let these SOB's get to you, they have small minds and even smaller penis's.

Thanks

First of all: thans a lot for this rare and briliant gem.

Even most important: thank you VERY much for everybody at Lost-In-Tyme for providing that we love so much, and also for your strength and insistence to continue against so many stupid odds and getting resurrected repeatedly.

To chris k: Well, I think, the mind is simply non-existent. I don't know about the penis's, but you must be right, they are probably very small. I cannot imagine a girl friend in sane mind who could be asked...

Sincerely,

Thalamus
